If you’re familiar with Cureton Consulting, you’ll know we run quite a few group training courses online using social media and video conferencing. These include our popular 5 day mini course, which people liked so much in March that we had to run it again in May!
When we asked people what they liked the most about the mini course, lots of them said they really enjoyed the live online introductory session as it gave them the chance to ask questions and interact with other delegates.
Getting this feedback has inspired us to create a series of BRAND NEW live online courses, starting at the end of June. These will be run by our very own Karen Cureton and will start with a session called ‘Prospecting for new clients on LinkedIn’. The 90 minute course will take place at 9am on Friday 29 June.
Says Karen: ‘As explained above, the idea for the new training programme has come off the back of the mini-course. This was completely free and it felt really good to give something back to other small business owners. However, during the second course in May, I realised that a 30 minute session just wasn’t enough to cover some of the areas in enough detail. So I came up with the idea of running live online courses that are more in-depth.’
The new live training programme won’t be free like the mini-course. But at just £15 per person for the first 10 bookings (£25 after that), it offers genuine value for money to smaller business owners with limited marketing budgets.
Areas the LinkedIn course on 29 June will cover include:
- Optimising your LinkedIn profile
- Writing a stand-out profile summary
- Using the ‘Search’ function to look for new clients
- Prospecting using Karen’s own search tool

‘The course is a really cost-effective way to learn or brush up your LinkedIn skills and knowledge,’ explains Karen. ‘There are no venue costs to pay for so we can keep the price right down. The course will be recorded, so please book anyway if you can’t join us, as you’ll get a copy of the recording afterwards. The live session itself will give you the opportunity to ask Karen lots of questions, and bounce ideas off and share experiences with your fellow delegates.
Karen has already set a date for the second live online course, which will take place on Friday 7 September at 9am. The topic will be ‘Transforming Twitter success’. Future themes will include ‘Growing your network on Facebook’ and other subjects to be announced at a later date (please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions!). All the courses will be 90 minutes long and priced at £15 for the first 10 delegates (£25 after that).
