Want to be a Social Media Mastermind?

During Strategy Calls with new clients, I often find people talking about the same problem. They’re really keen for social media to work hard for their businesses and they understand at least the basics of what they need to do for this to happen. However, they struggle to stay focused and engaged with their online activities and sooner or later, things start to fall by the wayside. Inevitably, this means they then lose the ground they’ve worked so hard to build up – and all too often, need to start again from square one. It’s a vicious circle!

I’m always striving to find new ways to benefit my clients. So, I gave this problem and how to solve it a lot of thought. These are business owners who don’t really need lots of in-depth training and coaching, but rather need support to grow their skills and knowledge and put them into practice. The answer soon became clear and the Social Media Mastermind was born: a supportive group environment where people in similar situations and with similar goals can share and discuss their individual challenges and how to solve them.

I launched the Social Media Mastermind concept last year and I was delighted that the first programme was fully booked up and we got some great successes. During lockdown I have had interest from business owners, so I’ve decided to launch a 2020 group which will start on Monday 3rd August.

How Social Media Mastermind works

As already noted, Social Media Mastermind isn’t about formal training and coaching. (Although there’ll naturally be a small element of training and learning involved, as each group member shares their own ideas and experiences.) Each group is limited to a maximum of 6 members, so it’s a relaxed, friendly environment that’s great for collaborative working. I’ll make sure there’s a good mix of business types in the room and there’s no duplication, so everyone gets maximum benefit from the sessions.

The Social Media Mastermind programme runs for six months, with the group meeting once a month for a full morning session via Zoom. Each group member has a 20 minute slot to talk about the challenges that are hampering their progress with social media. The whole group them pitches in with ideas for tackling these challenges and finding solutions.

How you’ll benefit (and why it works)

Everyone finds it hard to be objective about their own business. Yes, you know there’s a problem with how you’re approaching social media, but you can’t see the wood for the trees to find the right answer. By putting your personal challenges in front of likeminded business owners who are all in the same boat, you’ll get the fresh input and support you need to achieve the results you want from your online activities.

And because the same people will be meeting up every month and reporting back, there’ll be no excuse not to stay focused in the meantime! You’ll fee accountable for your actions and much better-placed for bringing your plans for social media success to fruition.
