What are you doing to grow your business in 2021?

The new year is certainly flying past – I can’t believe we’re into February already! January was a whirlwind of activity with lots going on, so I’m looking forward to a little peace and quiet this month (well, there’s a slim chance…), as I get my head down to rewriting Social Media for Grown Ups.

The new and improved programme will launch in March and I’m very excited about what I’ll have to offer. You may have seen a recent email from me about price increases and it was great to have a few clients snapping my hand off, as they were so keen to take advantage of Social Media for Grown Ups at the old price!

So, what’s inspired me to revisit and rework what’s already a very popular programme? After all, I’ve had lots of fantastic feedback from delegates about how much value they’ve found in the course. Well, believe it or not, a lot of it boils down to lockdown.

As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, I took the opportunity to use some of the enforced downtime in 2020 to invest in my own professional development. I’ve deepened and broadened my skill set, and refuelled my fires of enthusiasm for coaching and training others. I’m now part of an online Mastermind Group for business coaches and absolutely love the chance to network with so many likeminded people.

Now, I know some people are more than a little sceptical of the idea of having a business coach. And, of course, there are some unscrupulous characters out there who give the profession a poor name at times. But let me tell you, I started working with a business coach myself 7 years ago – and it was the best move I ever made.

That’s because I found the right person to work with, someone who could appreciate my values and aspirations for my business and where I wanted to take it, and who supported me to achieve my individual goals. After all, for a coaching relationship to work, it ultimately has to be ‘all about you’ (your business and your personal development) – any hidden agendas and you won’t get very far.

Business coach or not, we all need to be doing something to keep growing and developing our businesses, especially in the tough times we’re currently living in. Have you taken a step back recently, had a good look at your business and considered what you need to improve? If not, the time’s ripe as we’re still only in February and there’s plenty of time to set and achieve your personal business goals during 2021.

If growing your online presence pops up on your radar, you might be interested in a free social media mini-course I’m running in March, starting on Monday 8th.
